I love VDrums.com they get better every day!!! :D

Its like watching CNN over there. I just wonder what is the slant going on over there.

Look around at just posts after that where one of your own is making offcolor comments regarding the same person involved in the first thread. Its like picking fly **** out of pepper!!!

I say be done with it and ban the following:

Any dissention

Any Right Wing folks

Off color language

English words that mean masturbation

Right wing Moderators

Religion (Moderators and members who support it)

God

Any one who dares to see that the Emperor is naked

Some folks may notice an editing and/or deletion of a few responses.

I did it, as some off-topic discussion was posted that distracted from this important topic.

Basically, here's how I saw it - one person made a joking comment that another felt could be stereotypical, and the other person posted examples that included personal details that referred to off-topic matter (that could and did invite responses) to explain the member's point. The second person DID specifically state that the details were just to dispel the stereotype and expressed a desire to not have it cause more discussion - and a desire for the entire thread to stay on topic - but subsequent responses (some of which contained quotes to the off-topic material) kept coming.

The off-topic matter and references to it have been removed - while the TOPICAL discussion remains. I did not PM every person who had any responses edited or deleted, and did not see any of these actions I took as punitive in nature - none of them were obviously intentionally insulting to another person - all corrective action was done just for the best of the board and to set an example for future similar developments. However, if anyone objects to my actions, please feel free to email me or seek an opinion from the other Moderators as per the board's posted rules and procedures.

PERSONALLY, I think this is an example of how this particular topic - one that discusses an unjust prejudice against our Edrums - can cause emotional responses and bolster bold comments that stray off-topic in controversial (for this board) content.








I dont know if I was involved in any of the fun, I hope not but fear I was. But since you folks are in the editing mood, could you go back through my posts and simply eradicate any mention I ever made about being right of center.

Also, I made a spelling error in post 35 that I think needs to be corrected.

I think I also saw some off color terms involved with some posts in this thread. I think someone used the word wan***s or something, shouldnt we outlaw all bad language. My daughter reads the forum on occasion and she is only 11. I have allready had to explain alot of the content here.


Getting back on topic, I think you are owed atleast a call explaining the facts of why you were not chosen.

Hey Jack, I wish you were involved in the backstory. Just gets better and better every day. Thats why we added the 18 age requirement here. Over there, they just randomly apply the rules depending on the situation and members involved. Oh Well ???

Hi Tom.
I don't do the Vdrums forums, don't really have a use for it.
I have been on forums before where it was kinda crude and obnoxious, needless to say, I didn't hang out there long.
I like your age policy, kind of nice to be able to explain oneself without having to worry about young eyes watching.
I also don't like product wars, "mine is better than yours" kind of thing, especialy for drums be it eDrums or acoustics, we all have our favorite brands, it's the music we make with them that's important. :)

E1R...second post on the new forum... and I gotta get this off my chest...

Ed..you know Ed...from Drumbalaya... WHAT AN ASSHOLE! If ever a conmpany deserved to fail it was his. I had the misfortune of talking to him multiple times prior to the Drumbalaya crash and burn.. and I never once bought a prodcut from him.. Why??

Because he treated me like dog****. RMC, BPM...both treated me right.. I've bought multiple items from them. I tried to give Drumbalaya the dollars...but I couldn't justify it after being treated like that by the owner of the drum forum I belonged to.

I even went so far as to mention that I was a senior member of the forum..thinking he'd start treating me a bit nicer. NOPE. He flatly told me I was being a pain in the ass.

So in the spirit of free speech.. **** you Drumbalaya...and **** you too Ed.

I'm sure I'll be banned from thE v-drum forum shortly (sadly :'(...I really love that fourm at time. Guess I'll just have to love this new one more ;D)

Hi there.
For me personally, I've had nothing but praise for Drumbalaya and Ed, being Canadian and having trouble getting eDrum parts, he was a godsend.
I dealt with him a few times in the last 2 years and each time I knew what I wanted, the few questions I asked were answered and purchases made and prompt delivery was a welcome thing.
All products from there were well packaged and got here undamaged.
My personal experience says that I will miss Ed and Drumbalaya.
Sorry you had bad experiences with that business.

But I do believe you are better off keeping your political affiliation a secret. Mine got out and I have been persona non grata ever since with a few people anyway.

One of the things I found out was that you need to be cunning with posts to slip in the good stuff. I have found that the truly inspiring funny stuff most folks wont even pick up on.

There is one thing that changed my opinion of some of the members here, in the search function type is Happy resurection Day and you will start to get a picture of some of the mentality here.


BTW, you may be thinking I am off topic here with this post but not too worry. I am using the invisible post feature that is only available to those of us over 975 posts. We can use this power to communicate outside the pm system with mortals. After 4 days this post will disappear to even you and even my post count will decrease by one.

Hey E2R, Why would you be banned? I dont think Ed reads this forum. I will tell you that there have been a few things that Ed has done that pissed me off but none of them involved Drumbalaya. Most of them involve VDrums and all of them involved me moving further and further to decide to buy this joint.

Maybe he has some personal issues going on right now ( I am not excusing bad manners just saying maybe the business going south has put him in ruin)

I inquired about purchasing VDrums but he wanted close to a hundred thousand, I hope he gets it. I also hope they stop being so ****ing sensitive and "On Topic" makes the place one dimensional and boring.

I used to order from Drumbalaya because of Scott, he was a nice fella. The 2nd from last order he screwed up and I didnt even care nor did I complain. I hope he is doing well. From now on I will order my stuff from Rick at RMC, I liked his Dad and I think they are class acts.

If you decide to stay, here are a few tips, get on your knees, they'll get back injuries trying to reach.
As they come near, use the reverse phychology to scare them off and hump their leg.
Ball biting can also be quite effective.
So there, now the midgets stand a fighting chance, now that they know all these defensive moves, I don't think I'd take up midget ****ing at all, would you? LOL ::)

I did some "self editing" because I made a few remarks over there that were a bit.."racey".

...ut damn it...sometimes you have to just call people an asshole when they are being assholes and let the world know how bad their **** stinks you know? Sometimes it blows up even bigger...and sometimes you gain a mutual respect..which is where I believe me and the mystery man have ended up. Not sure as we can't directly contact each other or post at this point.

I kinda regret it now...cause I can see the guy probably being an ok dude... but I call em as I see em when I see em.

I'm curious to see what happens to the thread in question though...
