Hello,

I'm a beginner and I'm looking for a good edrum. He may only cost about 500 euros.
I'm interested in the TD4, but it costs new 1000 euros and I can't find any second-handed.
I'm also interested in the Td3, but I was wondering if the TD3's sound quality is just as good as the (new)Td4?
There are a couple of second-handed TD3's starting from 500 euros.
Maybe you guys can advise me another drum?
The other day I was in the music shop when the shop-assistant told me the TD4 was the best edrum.(Price/quality)

Regards,

Steven

Sorry.

Never played the TD-3/TD-4, don't know anything about euro's or if that's a decent price for the area you live.

I suggst you visit vDrum.com, as they have many TD owners that live in your part of the world and can advise as to which is a better buy for you. Good luck and keep us advised as to your final decision/purchase. WW

both those sets have a crappy hihat... if you are a player at all, it will kill you

or at least until you fork over $500 for a VH-11; at that point, i would just get the TD4, cuz the td3 module doesn't work particularly well with it

if you're just getting started, it might be okay, but you should really aim for a TD9 with VH11 setup

i've owned both the 3 and then upgraded to the 9, then sold everything for a DTX3, mainly because its hihat plays well and because i use mostly samples

I agree about the hi hat comments. My first edrum was a TD4sx which I just recently purchased. The hi hat is very difficult to control and the module's sounds are extremely limited and you can only add one cymbal before needing to upgrade the module.

I think as a beginner however it will serve your purposes just fine. This was only to compliment my acoustic set which is set up in a different location.

This is like anything else. Once you are used to it, you will always reach for the next best thing.

Definitely TD-4 over 3. But seriously, if you could afford few more hundred euros try ti aim for a TD-9. It will serve you for a long time to come. 'Arguably' the best sound quality compared TD-3/6/8/10/12/20 which were all made atleast 4 years or more ago. Also has usb and recording with functions like checking where your beats fall into so you;ll know if you're fast or slow in certain aspects.
