Didn't have my snare done here but it's complete now. Just haven't taken a pic of it yet.

Looking good Wildcat.
I was thinking of doing something like this a few years ago, taking a cheap set of acoustic drums (CB - Wesburry) and converting them.... never got around to it.
Nice work and the drums look great! :)
Take care

Nice looking DIY project, looks as if your son likes it also. I hope my son enjoys drums and drumming as much as I do. Good luck, Tom

Great work on the A to E kit, looks awesome. I cant wait to see more vids, maybe some playing too. Looks as if you are filming in HD also.
Any chance that you might do a Kit Toys cymbal review and maybe a tour of the kit from behind?
Great to get the kids involved, I saw your assistant in the pic set in previous posts. He looked enthusiastic. :)
Whenever I bring a new drum upstairs or in from the shop my son Tommy goes ape ****. I love that experience, worth more than all the gold in the world. Thanks again, Tom

Thanks for the kind reply.
Both my son(7) and daughter(2) love the drums. When I'm behind them I always have two fans dancing, playing and making requests. Makes it hard to practice but it's always fun to watch.
I'll post up an initial review I did on another forum of the kit toys china and update soon with the crashes and hi hat plus an overall impression of longevity.

Here's a quick cover using the drums. Sorry about the quality. I forgot to turn on my extra lighting.

I tried watching the video but got this message from YouTube......
"This video contains content from Sony Music Entertainment. It is not available in your country.
Sorry about that."
Thus can't view the video. :(
Kit is looking great, also great reviews on the Kit toys stuff. :)
Take care

yeah, someone tagged it. Popular artists and popular songs get tagged right away. Usually you end up having to edit the video saying something like "This video is for educational purposes only." That seems to do the trick.

Try this one. The quality had to be reduced to fit on vimeo.

Drums look and sound good. Not a MJ fan at all, but that is one of the few tunes of his I can stand. Not really much of a workout either, will be cool when we can see ya gettin' after it! :D

I really like the BJ video, Nice angle (More Light Please) sound is good and it shows off the kit well. Nice drumming as well.

Thanks for all the replies. I'll get more lighting up for the next one and I'll aim it so I don't blind you with the glare.

I follow a guy called Frugal Filmaker on YouTube, he come up with inexpensive video gear and techniques to help with shooting videos. I use most of his stuff with the videos I shoot and edit for work. Good and cheap. Tom
