Country :) The internet speed(we have just unloaded 24Mbps last year, the prices are just ridiculous though), instrument prices, tax(45% - bloody hell) etc..
Only good thing would be there's plenty of places to work in. Because of the baby-boom that occured in the 60-80's, it has never been so amazingly easy to get employed now - even if you have studied a totaly different degree than what the position requires of you.
Anyway after my bachelors I'm thinking of moving to Alaska. The eclipse and the snow and all that sights :) I'm also a cold-lover guy as I was born with a body whom just loves to sweat after even a miniscule movement, hence after drumming I'm too wet to want to pack my drums.
Would I be making a good choice? Obviously I need a good paying job as well :)
I'm just worried that the Russians may run mad suddenly and claim Alaska by force. I'm too young to die.
Are they any developed as the rest of the states? Enough work available?
What are your thoughts on this?

Kevin, 2 things, 1 is America would be honored to have you, I dont know that alaska is the place but you could consider other colder weather states, anywhere in the north (Maine, The Dakotas Oregon) There are more women there than in Alaska.
Your shells are taking shape nicely and I will post pics here tonight. Working the gloss!!! You cant rush art! lol
I have those days here in New Jersey where I want out and just want to live somewhere else. We can scout out places for you here if you need!!! I am sure Michael and I can find something suitable for you here. I hope all is well. Tom

You should move to Akron
1) It is the first city in the US to have high-speed cable internet/
2) It gets cold as all hell here in the winter.
3) It is cheap to live.
If you need stuff like culture, however, Akron is not the place.

Nope.. I'm not much of a culture guy, I pretty much hate anything that doesn't earn me money while it's time consuming and all you get in the end is the satisfaction of expressing your pride!! There I said it. Waaaait a minute, but that's drumming D: Well atleast drums takes a load of your money away and also hopefully will earn you money in the future so atleast it won't fall into that category :)
Anyway it sounds great. I'll certainly put that place into thought.
Thanks guys
Kev

Actaully, I might have to reconsider Akron :)
future-drums and future-drumz don't seem to be taken. If the lack of s or z after the drum is not good enough, you could use those as well.

Hey Kevin,
Didn't I hear you mention once that you were originally from NZ? Seems like there would be plenty of places on the South Island that would suit your climate needs. If you're intent on leaving the antipodes, you might consider Canada. As a citizen of the Commonwealth, you'll have much, much less trouble with immigration/resident status than you will coming to the States.
Anyway,good luck.

Hi Steve, I were in NZ before moving to Australia. Been inthat country for about 11 crazy years!
I moved from NZ because I realised how screwy the place was after visiting Australia and States for a tour. It's always raining there, the sky is so low(compared to Australia and States) making people so bloody depressed all the time, too little employment and development.
The thing is that I hear from my friends in Canada who went there from NZ, that it's pretty much the same :)
Only advantage would be it's easier to get in as you said, and also more easier to get in to the States after that.
But it takes so long... Plus thir pronunciation just makes me laugh :) I just can't help it, so it's going to be a problem facing one to get a job!
But seriously, I'll be exploring my immigration option and if I can't find a solution, then Canada would be my plan B... :(

You could move to place like Buffalo where you can get a pretty nice apartment for $300 a month (some houses go for less than $3000, but you are liable to get shot or stabbed). As an immigrant to America myself I can say that is the land of opportunity, and I believe that the people who don't love it are ignorant of how bad it could be. I love this country, it has given me so much... Now that I am a Permanent Resident I just want to learn how to repay America any way possible.
About plan B... I lived in Canada, if you believe in working for the "greater good", in other other words socialism, I believe that you would love Canada, just be aware of high taxes and more social leeches. In America independence is encouraged, and greater personal rewards await everyone.
