I was there...and you weren't!!! :P
Great show...there were a couple of flubs in the first few songs...but it was like a bunch of old buddies getting together and jammin out in somebodies backyard.
-Except these buddies are Stone Temple Pilots and the backyard was Northerly Island (former Meigs Field). They hit stride about 4th song...and instantly... I was in my early 20's again...
Weiland was... well he was Scott Weiland. Aside from his off stage antics, I rank him in the top 10...maybe top 5 frontmen ever. Had a weird kind of "Undertaker" get up on...all black with the black long coat and wide brim circular hat.. creepy...and very cool!
Their drummer's name escapes me...but man...what a metronome. Hit every part perfect, even all the subtle "studio" stuff...
If you get a chance... go see them!!! (Warning...they WILL start about an hour late...trust me.)
