I wanted to welcome everyone and explain why I created the forum. After some dissapointing forum experiences I wanted to create a place where drummers could go to relax and be themselves. I dont like overmoderation and uber sensitive folks. I do like diversity of personality and experience and we accept all who come. Try to have thick skin and enjoy all that freedom has to offer.

Hey Gents,
Well as some of you know I am not a drummer but I will definitely be one of the first in the cheerleading section LOL.

The site looks great Guys! I am on a 'few' BBoards and can help where I am able or give suggestions.

Hi Debbie.
What brings you to a drum forum if you don't play drums? I am curious.

Welcome Debbie & Jack,
You guys are two of the most knowledgable folks at DTXperience.com and two of the nicest people on the face of the earth. I am honored to have you both here as it makes this more of an edrum community and much more diverse as far as brands go. I hope you enjoy are small and humble community as well as the company.

I would like to add both of you as Moderators on certain forums as we go forward. I will speak to Michael and see how to go about giving you both priveledges and to which boards to assign your expertise. As long as its ok with you. I hope all is well. :) Tom

Hi Tom and thank you for the kind welcome.
The reason I decided to join this forum is I love your way of thinking.
I too don't like the "My eDrums are better than yours" mentality, be it Roland, Yamaha, Pintech, Alesis, etc.... it doesn't matter, the one thing we all share in common, we are drummers, doesn't matter what brand you prefer, we all play drums and that's what this is all about. The free flow of information, the open mindedness of learning how other equipment works, the tips and tricks, the unexploited features. It's all good! :)
Thanks for hosting this forum, it has great potential.
As far a experience, well, I have admired your work since I first saw what you do with a plain drumshell and make it into a work of art for both acoustics and eDrums, you are a craftsman and those are in short supply now days. :)
Glad to be here and thanks for the welcome. :)
Oh yeah. Would it be appropriate to post the link to my "DTX song Project" here, it's a lot of drumless music that is built into 4 of the DTX modules. I did this for the DTX AllStar Jam over on the DTXperience forums?
It would be extra drumless music for drummers to play to and practice.
Take care

Regards: >>>> Jack <<<<

Jack, I think you know the anser to that.. LOL

If it is good for the community and drummers then it is welcome here. I would love to get the guys we all know interested in Yamaha and open up a new avenue of music that we all can play to. Thanks for the kind words, Thank you so much, Tom :)

Hey Tom,
Thanks so much for your kind words *blush* :)

I love helping in any way I can however my 'drum' knowledge is Jack LOL I have sat with drumsticks in hand maybe a total of 5 minutes and haven't touched a module. So I wouldn't be much help in that department. That said, I am very good at finding stuff, computer software and just being me LOL

oh well then that WON'T do!!!! I much rather have fun than having everyone behave besides, ask Jack I can be an imp too LOL :P

EDIT: Could I suggest a computer related section/thread? For example things that could be in there:
Tutorials on the board itself. (If you notice my avatar is proper now since I uploaded an 80 x 80 pic rather than having it linked off site)

How to's between computer and module
etc.
