I hope my etiquette is correct for this forum. I saw Yamaha DTXTREME and had a question. I have the DTXTREME II and want to know if I can buy the KPT-125 kick? The one that comes with DTXTREME II sucks. Would appreciate any help. Thanks

Welcome Nuetron Dave,

The new Yamaha KP125 kick will work with the DTXtreme II module, but only you know if you can buy one (sorry, it had to be done - hahahal). WW

Welcome to this place Neutron Dave! :)
Yep, the KP-125 will work with the DTXtreme IIs, if you haven't tried one yet, I would suggest you do since there is a huge difference between the old KP-65 and the new KP-125. I compare the two by saying the old KP-65 is like hitting a brick wall in comparison, the new KP-125 has much more give and feels more natural. If you decide to buy one, please invest about an extra few dollars and get a Evans EQ bass drum patch, this will save the thin rubber surface where the pedal beaters hit, the EQ patches come in two sizes, single and double pedal widths, they are normaly about $6.00 for a two pack.
Here's a picture of it installed.
Take care

Hi Neutron Dave, Welcome to EDF 2.0, I have had the xtreme 2 and now the 3 and I have used the KP65 in the past and also the Drumtech kick pad. Like what Jack said make sure you get an eq patch or a remo falam to protect the rubber from the beater. I like the KP65 especially as a spare pad. Good Luck and again Welcom to the forum. Tom
