Man- how hard can this be?
I have an RS85 rack for the DT4express special kit.
I want to buy 2 more clamps ( to add a cymbal and pad ).
Does anyone here know the part numbers for....
1) The black clamp that holds a cymbal arm.
2) The black clamp that holds a TP65 pad.
I have phoned every drum/music shop in my area and beyond- no help:confused:
I have checked my instruction sheet for the rack - not there.
I have called Yamaha Australia - sales - no idea:mad:
I have called Yamaha Australia - spare parts - no idea and no return calls:mad:

Based on what I see in the catalogue Yamaha only sells the cymbal clamp with a cymbal arm. Those numbers are:
CYAT65 (straight cymbal arm w/clamp)
CYAT150 (boom arm w/clamp)
The tom holder w/clamp number is:
TPCL65
Hope that helps. OBTW...if you look on ebay now...search under DTXexpress or look at ebay item numbers 250403165113 & 250403172519. I think this is what your looking for .

Or you can use alternative clamps like the Gibraltar clamps, I like these better since you don't have to take the rack tube out to insert the clamp.
See picture.
I am using some of these with Yamaha cymbal stands and also for the Yamaha metal swivel ball mounts for the toms. They are very strong and great to work with, be warned, if not used with care, they can scratch the aluminum rack tubes.
Take care

Hey all.
After your replies I was able to work it all out.
In the end I ended up ordering a Yamaha TPCL150 for the extra TP65 pad , that is the rack clamp and ball joint combo that normally holds the snare to the RS85 rack. It was actually cheaper than the TPCL65 standard pad clamp and will allow me to swivel the pad off the end of the tube for more 'play room'.
I ordered it today - Yamaha Australia have an entire ( 2 ) of these on order for the entire country right now ( hey , there is only 20 million of us here ) , so I hope I get one of them.
I also grabbed 2 x more PCY130 cymbals :D:D
Thanks again
