I've attached a link to a service song (A New Hallelujah) my praise band did a couple weeks ago (mother's day) at church. We've been playing together for a few months now. The recording is a little rough. We're having a few problems with our sound...we're trying to get it straightened out.
Anyway, some specs. on kit used: Roland td-10exp. (no it's not rolahama...I will do some recordings with it soon...both kits sound really the same....same mod.). The drum sound used is from the Vex pack "Master 50", "Steve Gadd". I really like this drum kit sound from the master 50.
Anyway let me know what you think.

Love the song and your playing. Albeit the recording sounds a bit harsh the overall praising atmosphere feels(?) nice..

Reminds me a lot of Sonia Dada. Toms sound great, but I can't hear the kick a whole lot. May be the recording though...and it may be because it's an mp3. Is the recording straight off the board? Do you have any room effect on the TD-10, or are you running it dry? Just curious.

I believe the recording is straight off the board into a line 6 recorder. As far as room effects go, are you referring to a module setup? I was using a Vex pack "steve gadd" drum sound.

Yeah, I mean on the module, where you can establish the room type that the set is in. I didn't think that was associated with the kits themselves though. I thought it was a general "all encompassing" setting. Isn't it? It's in the set up where you say if it's a studio, or concert hall, etc.

I'm assuming that the clipping is only on the recording, that it doesn't sound that way live, right? Something's just driving too much. May have your record levels up too high, maybe just the gain settings of individual inputs on the board.

The room type for the module is "Studio" for that particular kit, and yes the clipping is only on the recording. Live the sound was much better.
