New Themes and Shoutbox

We now have some new themes to try out. This one has the ability to change the color but I havent figured it out yet. We also have Shoutbox feature installed and ready to go. Let me know what you enjoy. Tom :)

Looks great Tom, thanks for the Nothea, I will do the changes once you are done for the night. No good to have more than one person in admin at a time.

You say you added the shoutbox? I don't see it, but see you emailed me so will read that now LOL

I added the mod, its in admin. It says it is ready to go but I dont know how to use it so.....lol. I am off to bed now, I will clean up the boards in the morning. I did a backup tonight and also ran the maintenance program. I havent figured out how to change the color in this theme yet, instead of the purple a nice Turquoise is what I am thinking. Oh well I will work on it tommorow. Night Debbie, oh btw, I am going to sticky Jacks article about quieting the RHH130. Goodnight, Tom

Wow, this forum just went under a major face lift eh? Nice work Tom and Debbie! It looks awesome, also with Shoutbox that refreshes automatically. Every 10 second or so is it?

Thanks Kevin :) It is set to refresh every 20 seconds, that may be a bit much for some if they are on slower connections. Another board I am admin on is set to 30. In the beginning it will be hit and miss.

There are 4 themes at the moment that the shoutbox isn't working with.
Millenium
Heavy Metal
FutureVision
Helios_Multi

The code is different for these ones so I will have to read up a bit.

EDIT: ok all themes now have the shoutbox except for Millenium, I cannot figure that one out and my eyes are tired, so tomorrow is another day. :)

For anyone that is unfamiliar with a shoutbox, all you have to do is type in the box where it says type your message and press ENTER (this may not work on all skins and you will have to press the shout button) The purpose of a shoutbox is really a place to chat in real time with everyone. ENJOY!

Hey Kevin, Thanks I hope you like it, Debbie has been putting in alot of time on this place. All I did was download some stuff that Debbie found. I really like having new features and themes, thats my favorite but I am not the best when it comes to applying these mods. Like I told you I am really enjoying myself LOL Now for the shoutbox, you had done it properly and it was showing up on the Classic skin, just had to go to all the other skins and add that line in the instructions / display. Most were straight forward, 3 were a little more searching and the Millenium one is a royal pain, I can't figure out where to put the line.

Hey guys, I'd be great if people can change how they can see/use the shoutbox just like the forum skin. I have absolutely no knowledge about shoutboxes, but things like horizontal size(I don't think vertical would be a matter), archiving, max line limits(currently 50 is it?).. I hope I'm not asking for too much :) ?

If I am understanding properly Kevin, it changes with the skin you have. Biggest problem with dark/light skins is trying to find the font color that works for all.

The horizontal and vertical is set in the shoutbox code. You mean you would like yours smaller?

Can we ask you or other Mods to change the size of the shoutbox that only affects me? If in that case, then I'd like mine to be a wee bit bigger. About 10 lines should be fine....

Hey Kevin,
I think that changes like that are global but I am still searching. I have to go on SMF forum and find info on the history as well so will check that out.

I will holler when/if I find anything though
