Hi Mick!
You can say their name over here, but only on designated holy days, in an even year and only after you've crossed yourself three time during an eclipse. Other than that, your good to go - hahahahaha.
Nice kit you've got there Mick. Did you have the TD-20 prior to the expansion and if so, what differences can tell with it now? Do you use any of the Vex kits? How are you triggering that 16" diy kick? Do you play out with it? Do you use any amplification other than headphones? That should keep you busy for a couple minutes. WW

:) Hi Mick, Welcome to EDF, you are allowed to say whatever you want here. We have a few members from Australia also, we are a smaller than everyone else and a closer knit forum. So stick around and speak your mind, good luck, Tom K

Thanks for the welcome everyone, and to answer Wes's questions I did have the module prior to updating and the tdw20 makes the module twice as good as it was, IMO. The sounds are all round better quality, fatter with heaps more punch. The kick has loads of punch, goes down into the subsonics, and thats on all the sounds not just the new ones. Pads respond better, the snare is more realistic and the hihat upgrade is real nice, and the new editing features give you more tweakability (if thats even a word). I dont use Vex, I prefer to do my own kits. Which are mainly tweaked Roland kits at the moment. My kick has a pearl muffle head on it and the trigger is basically a block of foam mounted behind the beater, a cut in the side with a piezo slipped in, the piezo sits just above where the beater hits. Ive tryed other methods and this works the best for me. I certainly do play live with the V's and love it. For an amp I have powered Wharfedale pro boxes. A 15+horn on top of a 15 sub. Hears a link to our band page. http://www.midcoast.com.au/~tyness/ Man that was a lot of typing.
