Matt Lewis is going to be doing a weekly series of drum lessons made for You Tube regarding drum rudiments and other lessons that are requested by drummers. The lessons are sponsored by KnipeDrums and filmed and edited by me. We will be using Knipe Drums products in the videos as well as eshell products. I hope you guys have some requests as I have some ideas and I think Matt is a great teacher and has alot to share. Ofcourse if your in New Jersey and would like to stop in and get a lesson from Matt just stop by the store. Enjoy the new paradiddle lesson. I think we will do follow up videos if there are questions that arise from the videos. Tom

I uploaded it and now it works, must have been something to do with my rendering of the video. I hope you enjoy it and I hope we can ask to do more. Thanks again, Tom

Thanks for fixing it Tom.
Excellent video lesson on Paradiddles.
Here's one for Matt, maybe if he could explain the fine line between stick bounce (rebound) and actual hand or finger control. So many drumming videos talk about using rebound, then other videos talk about playing in a pillow with no rebound to get better hand and stick control.
The thing these videos seem to neglect to mention is when to use one or the other or how to use both simultaneously?
Thanks to Tom and Matt for doing this! :)
Take care

Thanks for the reply Jack, I agree with you 100 percent. From someone who plays and doesnt need lessons for basic things I am interested in hand technique and stick control. Specifcally traditional grip, I always seem to have a problem with stick control and left hand technique. I will talk to Matt about a video with that very thing in mind the fine line between rebound and stick control. I am working with Matt on that very thing as we speak and will be practicing this forever. Thanks for the idea and I hope we can make something that helps someone out. Tom

Thanks Dan, I think that one goes for $425.00. Not too much for something that has taken almost 2 years to finish. I really love that drums and I have pulled it down and said I am keeping it but I try not too get too attached anymore. Tom
