They want me to assign separate outputs for snare and kick so that they can be controlled and EQ'd at the FOH. This manual is not well written in my opinion, so if anyone could put it in easy for a dummy to understand fashion I would appreciate it. We are mono so all I need is a single out for each.
Thanks again

I don't have a DTXtreme, so this may be a completely ignorant answer, but anyway...
the specs that I saw indicates that there are 6 assignable outputs (in addition to the main L/R mix outs)...so couldn't you assign the snare & kick out of those? Is this for FOH monitors only? Just curious if you'll still be sending the main r/l mix out to house. Anyway, I'm sure it's in the manual somewhere how to assign specific voices to each of the assignable outputs.

Yes you can do it, my question is... how? The manual is not well written, it goes around and around instead of saying, to do this from this screen push this button scroll to this selection and save. For example two gentlemen answered my last question about voice selection much more clearly and concisely than the manual.

I've owned the DTX 2.0, DTXtreme, DTXtreme II, DTXtreme III modules and IMO Yamaha manuals suck! Of course, I hate reading manuals which didn't help.
Luckily, you've got Jack, Alvis and Scott here to answer all your DTXtreme III questions. WW

I like the III manual. The IIs was the one that drove me nuts. Or maybe i've just managed to learn the lingo. lol
Arriguy, Here's how to use the indie outs. From drumkit mode press the F2 voice button, then the SF2 out-tune button, page right to page 2 and highlight the "OutPutSel" area. Strike the pad you want to change and select the indie out you want to send it to. You can set the whole pad from input or each individual zone from source. It's a drumkit setting so you will have to set each user kit seperately. There is no global setting for the indie outs. Also any voices sent to an indie out cannot be monitored from the headphone out or the L/R outs. If you use phones you would have to send a line back from the FOH or have your own mixer to hear them. Hope that helps some, Alvis
