Why so small a file

Why are the allowed MP3 upload file sizes so small ?

Hi Tom, I would think the average low quality mp3 (about 128kbps) would be in the region of 4-5Mb. I would suggest allowed file sizes of somewhere around 8-12Mb hopefully would encourage more people to upload their stuff. I understand that everything is dependant on server size and speed.

I only noticed this when I went to upload the latest song from John and I, by way of a preview in appreciation of edrumform having rusticfvckbucket as a featured site. The song won't be posted on our site for a couple of weeks.
